You see each child as unique and you help them to see that in themselves. We really appreciate all you have done for us this year. Both girls have learned a lot from you - that, they will always have as they play. I learned lots too!
Christine has not just taught Angel piano skills, but also most importantly, built up Angel with right attitude to face challenges. We still remember Angel’s first group piano play-through four years ago; she sat in front of the piano like an ice bar, struggling internally to make her first piano sound in front of her audience. In her piano lessons, Christine was always smiling when telling Angel what had been done well, and then, patiently guide Angel in how to improve in all aspects. From Christine, we learned musical theories, we built up musical sense, and we visualized how positive feedback encouraged Angel’s learning. From Christine, we see Jesus’ Love.

You were a fun teacher and I will miss you.
Our family wants to express our thanks to you for your teaching of our daughter Allison through piano lessons. Through the last three years of the weekly lessons, Allison had accomplished a lot, beyond our expectation. Now, not only that she can play beautiful music with emotion, she had become more patient, more respectful and disciplined. She had developed a more pleasant personality. We also enjoyed the quarterly recitals and gatherings for parents and children get together.

I’m really sad, because you are moving away. I really enjoy learning piano from you for the last four years. You are such a nice, patient teacher. You have never even raised your voice on me, even though sometimes I don’t do a good job. I have always told my friends how lucky I am to have a very nice piano teacher. I’ll miss you and always remember you.
Thank you for all your support! Once again we love you as a teacher and person. We are grateful for all your hard work and caring thoughts.

I loved having you as a teacher.
What I valued most about Christine was her ability to understand each child as unique in both their personalities and learning styles. To watch her teach both girls in a back to back schedule, I was amazed at her breadth of teaching techniques. If one approach was not working, she quickly approached the lesson in a different way. She used a variety of approaches, visual, written and listening, to teach theory, note reading and the repertoire. Christine made each of my daughters feel comfortable in their playing ability yet very gently encouraged them to challenge themselves further. I really appreciated the relationship I was able to have with Christine over this past year. I felt a true partner in the triangular student-teacher-parent relationship that is so important in Suzuki instruction. Christine always valued feedback and incorporated my concerns or opinions into her instructional plan. She offered diverse ways for me to work with the girls at home and valued the practice time we dedicated over the year. Organizational skills are a strength of Christine’s teaching. Each week she was prepared with very detailed notes of what each child had accomplished and what they had been working on at home. Another important part of the music instruction was her encouragement for the girls to enjoy music. She would often ask which piece they enjoyed playing and placed emphasis on asking them to feel the music they were playing. She focused on musicality and encouraged them to connect emotionally to the music.

Ever since Nate started piano with you at the age of 5, he has grown in maturity and skill. Your patience and love towards my son has helped him develop diligence and attentiveness. Thank you for coming alongside me in teaching him about Jesus’ love for us and His gifts for us to use in glorifying Him. In Nate’s playing, I sense joy not only for himself but also for those of us listening. Our home filled with music warms my heart.
Christine performs her work with sincerity and dedication, is very organized, and has outstanding attention to detail. She is very pleasant to work with and the workshop invitees for whom she has coordinated have regularly expressed gratitude for her superior hospitality and detailed arrangements. As a piano teacher specializing in teaching young persons, she knows how to handle small children effectively and being self-employed she has run her studio efficiently. From experience, I trust Christine’s judgement and abilities in handling a range of personal and professional situations with sensitivity and integrity.

We have been blessed and fortunate to have you as Kaylee’s teacher. Your teachings have helped Kaylee through many tough lessons and she has persisted to continue on. Your patience and dedication was valuable in helping Kaylee’s future endeavors. You have not only taught Kaylee how to play a piano correctly, but you have also taught her good life lessons too. We really appreciate your time and effort. Thank you.

You have been a great piano teacher. Practicing was really hard, and I admit, I didn’t like it. But when I come to your lessons, you encourage me, and I feel better. You make piano better than it already is. I’m going to miss you.
Thank you so much for teaching me piano. These past few years I feel grateful that you kept me motivated to learn more piano pieces. I hope we can see each other someday.
My daughter started piano lessons with Ms. Chan when she was 5 years old. We have been extremely happy with her musical teaching. I did not know much about the Suzuki method prior to starting with Ms. Chan but I found it a wonderful method to teach children piano. Ms. Chan is a very loving, supportive, and patient teacher. We spent 5 years with Ms Chan. I appreciated her understanding through the years when schedules became chaotic managing different activities. I highly recommend Ms. Chan!
You are the best piano teacher. You have been very patient with me throughout the years and I hope you know that.
Mrs. Chan is a kind, talented, mentor and teacher for both students and parents. She truly loves piano and teaching children. She not only blessed my daughter with a love of piano and music, she taught me how to positively support my daughter in her learning and practice.
You are not only a wonderful music teacher, but a wonderful influence on children for living an enriched, honest and happy life.
Christine is an excellent piano teacher with wonderful personality. I have taken lessons with her for almost 4 years as an adult beginner. She is a very experienced teacher with a lot of patience. She teaches me not only what to practice, but also how to practice. She analyzes new pieces to me clearly, giving clear and concise explanations. She pushes me to do my best on every piece. Most importantly, she does this kindly and patiently. I am so thankful to have her as my piano teacher...I give her my highest recommendation!
We are so thankful to have Christine teaching Vivian piano with the Suzuki method. She is very patient, loving and caring towards children. Our daughter's interest in piano and music is developing and it is very encouraging to watch. As a parent being involved has been beneficial as well as enjoyable.
